Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tutornet mobile application and related websites (the “Service”). By creating an account or using Tutornet, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Tutornet connects students and tutors for local tutoring sessions. We provide tools for discovery, booking, messaging, and related account features. Tutoring services are provided by independent tutors, not by Tutornet as the educator. The Service is provided “as is.”
2. Accounts
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You may sign up with email/password or supported social providers.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for users.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, abuse, or endanger other users
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Use the Service for illegal activity
- Scrape, spam, resell access, or abuse messaging/booking features
- Attempt to access accounts or data you do not own
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
4. Payments and refunds
Pricing and charges (when enabled) will be shown clearly before you confirm a booking or payment. Card details are processed by a payment provider; we do not store full card numbers. Refund and cancellation rules are described in our Refund Policy.
5. Content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Tutornet a limited license to host and display it as needed to operate the Service. You must have the rights to content you upload.
6. Disclaimers
Tutornet does not guarantee tutoring outcomes, tutor availability, or uninterrupted access. We do not control in-person interactions between users and are not responsible for offline conduct of students or tutors.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tutornet and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid to Tutornet for the Service in the 3 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
8. Termination
You may stop using Tutornet at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence say otherwise.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
